It’s the Spring Equinox! Here are a few photos from our #CrocusLawn I took this afternoon. All three species are on full display 🥰 Keep the #pollinators fed!

#CrocusLawn update: Things are looking pretty good! Our front lawn is speckled in hundreds of these tiny, vibrant yellow and purple flowers. While they aren’t native, the #NativePollinators sure enjoy them.
Note the chicken wire… I put it down once I caught the squirrels digging up the freshly planted corms. They aren’t even supposed to like crocus! 😐

We’ve been away from home all week. Pretty excited to see what’s going on in our #CrocusLawn and @Jillianmarisa’s bulb bed. 🤩
Wowzers. Our #CrocusLawn is really coming in. 🤩 So far I’m only seeing #CrocusRomance. We should also expect to see Ruby Giant and Tommasinianus (tommies)

@annejohn @DavidPB we planted a #crocuslawn last fall. It would be amazing if we could produce results even half as stunning as this 🤩
I’m increasingly convinced that our bulbs and #crocuslawn will bloom while we are playing around the UK for a week next month. Our travels always seem poorly timed despite much thought put into them.
Last autumn we planted ~500 crocus bulbs in our lawn. They aren’t native, but they are early to rise. And as such are sure to bring us, and the #pollinators great joy as winter fades.
Finally we’re seeing some signs of life. C’mon #Spring! 😍
