Welp. I need to drop about 20 pounds.
Have installed Cronometer. I have used MyFitnessPak in the past but now they want $20/mo to track macros.
It has been a while since I have checked in. It has been a couple of months since becoming strictly #wfpb #vegan #diet from doing it loosely for a year prior. I have now formed different eating habits thanks to #cronometer data and I have learned to cook a handful of really good, cheap and whole meals. In addition to the diet change, I gained a bunch of practical knowledge about exercise, focusing on planning and metrics. I have seen some major strength and work capacity increases due to this.

It has been roughly 1 1/2 months of being strictly #vegan and majorly rearranging my #diet among other changes. I am happy to report things are going well. However, I would not be able to eat a balanced diet without the help of #Cronometer, there are just too many unknowns. The crux of the matter is #veganism is not a diet, it is a #harm #reduction #philosophy / #ideology. It is possible and easy to eat an unbalanced diet full of harmful #ingredients. I hope this helps someone pondering this.

#cronometer released a new streak feature. Apparently I have successfully logged my food intake for over 4 years. That’s pretty cool.
I made a decision a while ago that I would always log my food and my weight because it’s a life long commitment. A bit like quitting cigarettes. I had to decide I’m done forever, but this is the reverse. I’m doing this forever.
In the past 3 years I’ve gained 10 lbs of muscle, lost 20 lbs of fat, and lost 10 cm off of my waist.
Ok so I made a simple kidney bean dish and learned a bit about #nutrition #cooking after plugging it in to #cronometer. The portion was large and satiating. It was surprisingly flavourful thanks to the chopped red onion, Texmex spice and tablespoon of sriracha. The amount of fat was extremely low. The fibre means feeling full for a while. #vegan

Here is an example of macronutrient targets being met on a #wholefoods #plant based diet. I do use some brown rice protein powder in order to get sufficient muscle growth. However, given more time, I will adjust my meal compositions to included whole food sources of protein. #cronometer is an excellent app that enables me to see what exactly I am eating. Combine that with a digital food scale and we have a great system for tracking our macros and hitting targets. #vegan

This app (along with going #vegan #keto) helped me drop over 30lbs during my body recomposition.
