I’m eager for the summer to arrive: the endless gray of the last few weeks looks great on camera, but it’s rubbish to be out I n trying to shoot. Particularly video as it’s raining one take and not in the next…

Hello #mastodon, I've already done a #introduction but thought I'd do another as more people pop up on here.
I wrote my PhD on #crossbonesgraveyard, the most magical of places, and I'm currently in the process of working out what to do with all my research!
The ultimate dream is to write a book about Crossbones, so speaking that out into the universe... 💀

A collaborative project I've been working on at #crossbonesgraveyard, involved a free workshop last August.
Attendees took part in sensory activities, adding all their creations to a box labelled "The Archive". The mass of material was later built into a zine, with poems, pictures, photographs, and rubbings cut up and used to create each page.
You can download a digital copy here 💀
@ninab thanks Nina, Hart Island has some important parallels with #crossbonesgraveyard for sure. I've often referenced it when teaching actually.
Great to meet you and thanks for sharing your piece.
Hello #histodon!
I'm an interdisciplinary scholar, and a core part of my work is historical research.
In October 2021, I curated an installation at #crossbonesgraveyard, telling the lost stories of people who'd been buried at the ground.
I'm interested in bringing forgotten aspects of history into the contemporary, and linking them with modern issues of marginality and social disparity.
This was the exhibition guide 🖤

If you fancy hearing more about #CrossbonesGraveyard, earlier this year, I did a little interview about the community garden there:
