@ndw @laurendw @webmink Finally. A #crumpet recipe that works 😋 It's Paul Hollywood's, off the BBC recipes web site, and the taste, texture, and hole count is bang on. This batch is experimental cos getting the temperature and timing took a while to get right. For the record, smallest burner, set about half-way up, and a Prestige non-stick skillet with regular 7.5cm chefs rings and rapeseed oil.

@ndw I won't post pix of my latest #crumpet test #fail using https://www.recipetineats.com/crumpet-recipe/ which claims to be from Warburtons but is fairly taste-free although the method seems to be right. Next up: Paul Hollywood's BBC recipe, which I have been avoiding.
