Is it fair to use a homophone as part of a charade clue if, when the subword is put back into the solution, it is no longer a homophone?

OK I used brute force and ChatGPT to wrangle together a table of all the #CrypticCrosswords I could find on the Indy site so you can browse a list of them by setter and date.
I've been meaning to do it for a while as searching for that kind of thing on the site is a right sod in my opinion.
Still a few rough edges but not bad for a couple of hours or so work:
