On the tooling side we've got:
✅ Performance improvements for our experimental #esbuild + #vite stack.
✅ A new, experimental "application builder" which supports #CSR, #SSR, and #SSG all in one with an improved devserver and faster build times.
✅ Automatic injection of preload hints for #JS and #CSS used in the initial load.

Capitalism as a system gives people an incentive to do exactly one thing: maximize accumulation. That this does not work out well is not surprising. Corporate social responsibility is bullshit. #CSR

Question is what we can realistically, practically do about it in the time we have left.

Here is my suggestion: stop being dismissive of and cynical about governments and see them as the only chance we have to plot a path that is not catastrophic. Then consistently hold them to account.

Next was an essential panel on #CSR and law in #Africa at #SOAS University of London with Nojeem Amodu, Olufemi Amao, Misbau Alamu Lateef, Ibukun Omisore, and Emilia Onyema. This is probably the most comprehensive view of CSR that I've seen from an African perspective, and given that multinationals by definition operate globally this is an absolute must-watch for people in corporate governance and management.
