This is a jazztodon exclusive. I've just finished a quick post about a second #georgebenson live performance as part of the 1975 Newport Jazz festival. It was at Carnegie Hall, but was 6-months after his live album released on #CTI.

It was almost a year to the day before Benson would blow the doors off with his album Breezin'. It includes a live stream and download link.

Farewell Bebeoto Castilho, a founding member of the Tamba Trio and later, the Tamba 4, died on March 10th, 2103, in Rio de Janeiro. Mr Castilho died at age 83, just a month short of his 84th birthday.

Doug Payne's excellent CTI discography lists a CT 516 45/single, it never happened. Only this double-sided promo release of "Solo el Fin" (For All We Know).

2022 has been a pretty disappointing year for CTI/KUDU and A&M/CTI reissues. I wasn’t aware of any major reissues this year that made it worth updating the list I’ve maintained for the last 2-years[1]. Record Store day was also disappointing on that front.
