Twee-Pop is een subgenre binnen de Indie scene, bekend om simpele en zachte melodieën, wel gecombineerd met het betere gitaarwerk.
Het genre bestaat al sinds midden '80, met groepen als Primal Scream en The Pastels.
Maar de roots gaat terug naar de sixties met bands als The Byrds en Lovin' Spoonfull. Maar vooral was er een sterke invloed binnen de post-punk, bij artiesten die een afkeer kregen van het macho gedoe en macho rock, waaronder Television en Jonathan Richman.
