Many other factors (e.g. preference for deliberation vs. intuition below) proved to have a significant impact for some groups but not others

Key takeaways:
1) Linear regression provides a misleading picture of factors that matter, especially how much they matter
2) Explanatory power is much greater for those rejecting versus positive towards
3) Food technology consistently mattered but much more for those rejecting

For the first time on , we employed a (logistic) quantile regression to consider how the relevance of different factors varied by consumer .

Just because a factor is influential for those negative does not mean it matters for those more positive.

The only factor that was important across all groups was food technology .

Even then, the (negative) influence of this factor decreases as consumers became more positive about 3/

We however failed to find any influence, even extending to use of image versus no image.

We surmise this might have been due to information texts centering on potential benefits of 2/

Eating meat doesn't make us human, but cooking it--processing it--probably does, as it's correlated with a big increase in brain size. It makes sense then that the next evolution would be and . But what of primates (aka humans) who don't hunt or eat meat for social reasons? How will we form social bonds without meat as we know it? Curious want to know.

I welcome an age of cultivated meats as it would solve a lot of the issues with the livestock industry. The amount of water, feed, waste, would drastically be reduced! Animal Welfare would be improved by scaling back the meat and dairy industry. I don't eat as much meat these days because these concerns float in the back of my mind.

I still think that lab-grown meat is not a need. Legumes like beans, lentils, and chickpeas perfectly meet an adult human’s protein need. However, it could be β€œthe lesser evil” than killing or prisoning animals. But do we know the side effects? For instance, do we know whether it increases the risk of cancer?
