Thanks for asking. Although my PhD dissertation is about Cuban-America, and I do care about my Cuban-American interviewees, the main point is not about Cuba-America, “but rather to assess and elaborate the theoretical foundation on which methodological approaches towards knowledge production about the relationship between past present and future can be built.” The work was always on #culturalmemory, #memorystudies, #interdisciplinarymethodology.

My original plan was to work in #museums studying #culturalmemory. That didn’t work out but this day has always meant something to me.

After having explored this platform for a few days, I am now ready to do my #introduction as a #histodon.

I am wrapping up a post doc fellowship at the Swedish Institute for Language and Folklore in Gothenburg. Here, I conduct oral history interviews with Chilean migrants. On the one hand, to document the stories of the Chilean community in the city, and on the other, to expand the theoretical and methodological framework for understanding the interplay between #culturalmemory and #urbanspace.
