I am an Associate Professor at #ucriverside, #PollittEndowedChair and #Academicdirector of the #MellonMaysUndergraduateFellowship #MMUF program at #UCR. My work deals with the #firstgeneration that is born after a political, social or economic crisis: how do they make sense of the new environment and which #culturalobjects they create. I have approached that from #linguistics, #literature and #history while examining #California, #Mexico and #Asturias.
