A broken toy transformed into an opportunity for learning, tinkering, and mending. B is in 1st grade and when this jumbo motorized pencil from his drawing game stopped working he was interested in taking it apart to fix it. I had some alligator clips& an arcade button handy. We used the clips to test the circuit and realized it was the switch that was broken! So we used our alligator clips to connect the arcade button and bypass the broken switch. #MakerEd #Mending #STEM #CultureOfRepair #Maker
