196 followers · 1737 posts · Server mathstodon.xyz記錄下這兩天的一人食，是因為今天午飯時忽然想起剛來法國時，因為我執意要吃中餐，執著地尋找某一些熟悉的食材和堅持某些做法而被推上許多人批判「不會適應」、「矯情」、「奢侈」，當時我感到委屈又羞愧（對，為什麼要羞愧），在數年以後，我發現我最愛的還是童年的味道。
在法國三年，口味逐漸回歸清淡，對曾經超愛的泡椒雞雜、幹煸肥腸等川菜的熱情明顯冷卻了許多，另一方面，食域也越發廣，比如我其實並不討厭奶酪，只是討厭被說你不吃奶酪就是不對的。我只是需要通過不同的做法來和這種食材建立連結。
在伊斯坦堡的有一天，因為前一天吃得太雜、不準時、晚上喝了太多酒又沒有睡好，第二天一整天都感覺不適，除了喝了超多的水和飲料，晚餐在他們大快朵頤某種土耳其傳統食物時我根本沒有胃口，僅僅吃了幾片生菜和薄荷，腸胃不適，心情不佳。半夜回到 K 先生家，翻箱倒櫃找出了一包乾玉米片，請他幫我用熱牛奶泡了，又切了一個火龍果，兩樣東西下肚，立馬回血大半。
第二天中午，我自己做了午飯，先飽了蔬菜的渴；下午把阿姨召喚回來，她做了一大鍋茄子燉牛肉和土耳其抓飯，吃得我美滋滋，睡醒一覺又活蹦亂跳和大家喝酒玩樂了。
從那時候開始我就在想，我的身體需要什麼？在異國他鄉，與不同文化背景、不同的飲食習慣的人生活在一起，我要怎麼讓身邊的人知道，在我需要的時候，他們能夠怎麼照顧我？
我的飲食要求多嗎？其實並不。麻煩嗎？根本不，甚至可以說十分簡單。我只需要清楚地告訴對方，我需要什麼，請幫我去做，即可。
當然，還要是個能夠理解你，並且不 judge 的夥伴。
接納自己就是個中國胃甚至是廣東胃，又咋的？

- Telling distance in kilometers instead of hours
- Using 24 hour time instead of am/pm
- Kissing people on the cheek instead of hugging
- Celebrating Christmas Eve instead of Christmas morning
- Only inviting guests over by appointment, if the house is spotlessly clean and bathed in bleach

Obviously, the voices are wildly different.
Characters with accents, or specific vocal patterns, suddenly have none, and everyone speaks German.
Imagine a scene involving rivalries between racially mixed gangs in central LA, but they're all speaking and shouting in proper accentless German.
It's disconcerting for me, like a bad acid trip.
#CultureShock bites me in the ass once again.
