It seems that there's some desperation for some won't-admit-that-they-are-obsolete products, in the WWW world. YouTube keeps showing me advertisements for #Cunard cruises that I am _never_ going to buy.

Some #ArtDeco #architecture to admire from #Hastings seafront. This is the #1930s Marine Court building, and the resemblance to a #CruiseShip is intentional as it was based on the #Cunard #ship #QueenMary. If the architectural form looks aerodynamic with long lines and curves, and sometimes nautical elements, then you know it's in the #StreamlineModerne style and that's the case here. I'm a big fan of Brutalism but Art Deco runs it a very close second.

The crass ignorance, use of anything regardless of how putrid it reveals them to be, to try and manipulate and undermine the very thing Watts was helping liberate in anyone who would listen to him.
That's #capitalism, #corporatism and the stench of bullshit at the heart of #marketing.

Food For Thought. It's cheaper to take Cunard Transatlantic in both directions than it is to fly Business or First Class both ways. Like a LOT cheaper and certainly with more style. I've been pricing a couple of Ireland tours using ships instead of planes for the crossings.
So if you have flexibility in your travels to Europe, this would be a classic throwback way to travel.
