A bit of meta discussion around today's #EnigMarch (where puzzle designers try to write a puzzle a day throughout March based on a daily theme).

Today's prompt is WIND and I have an idea for a #puzzle but don't have the #poetry writing skills to pull it off. Any #poet s in the #MastoPrompt, #CuratorPrompts or #writing community fancy having a crack at it? Here was my idea: a seven line poem (perhaps in the form of a Rhyme Royal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhyme_royal) where the first letter of each line spells out the word MISTRAL (a wind from Southern France).

It's #EnigMarch, when puzzle designers write and share a #puzzle EVERY day for a month based on a prompt (like #MastoPrompt and #CuratorPrompts). I'll be joining in when I can with some (hopefully) relatively easy puzzles, and I'll add hints in the replies too, don't be afraid to use them (or Google, it's a puzzle not a #quiz)

Quickly following my Procreate sketch, I plucked up the courage to try a pencil version. This is my first ever proper sketch that's not from a tutorial.

Mainly using the previous sketch as the source, only referring to the photo to check a few details. The photo was from #CuratorPrompts #CuratorPrompts134

Trying out a sketch on Procreate

I cheated with the photo just visible in a layer, but the sketch is too complicated for me to try completely freehand.

I’m trying to simply the scene and get the values. It’s still difficult when trying to understand how the brushes work with pressure, angle etc.

I sometimes do this before painting to understand the scene.

It helps me learn.

Can I try a pencil & paper sketch next?
