Toda la divulgación del asunto en la red se basa en un artículo que en realidad apenas dice nada relevante más que son radiactivos (¡todo lo es!) y se encuentran confinados en cajas de plomo.
Creo que editaré Wikipedia para incluir las dos fuentes que sí incluyen los datos precisos de la actividad y las dosis efectivas.
