20 hours now since the close of electronic voting on #CurtinUniversity management's proposed and wholly inadequate employment agreement.

They still haven't released the result, which they would have had access to instantly.

Meanwhile, ongoing industrial action - which would have to stop if the vote was "yes" - is very likely to disrupt orientation events on Monday and Tuesday.

I'm a #graduate student at #CurtinUniversity. My thesis is on developing analytical techniques, perhaps #Bayesian, for identifying and classifying variable and transient astronomical sources, namely #BlackHoles and #NeutronStars, in large galactic surveys.

I'd say I'm more #statistician than #astronomer, with a dash of #ComputerScience too.

I'm a huge #rstats fan but now leaning into #python for my current research. I'm also something of a conference committee addict.
