Found a wallet in the parking lot. Had an AmEx in it. So I called AmEx saying, “I don’t want this poor person to have all their cards canceled, so would it be possible for you to reach out to them and let them know we found the wallet?
Sure, we can help, says the rep. What’s the card number?
I give them the card number.
“Ok, we’ll cancel the card and if they call in we’ll tell them that their wallet was found.”
“No, I thought you were going to call them, and NOT cancel the card?”
“I’m sorry, we don’t contact our customers directly. They’ll eventually call us to report the card lost.”

First, bloody #Qantas
The grandpenguins kindly took the chick with them on their recent trip to Perth.
They were booked to return on the domestic leg of an international flight.
We checked the Qantas website and it clearly states that minors do not need ID for such flights. Only accompanying parents/guardians do.
Nevertheless, once they all got to the airport they were hassled about the chick's lack of ID.
Frantic phone calls to me...
Me frantically sending photos of whatever ID I could find... (Not much - how many young chicks have any kind of ID?!?!)
Even though we pointed out the information on the website, they were told that in Perth they have different rules

They were bumped from the flight
Luckily, were able to get seats on another flight to return home the same day.
So we have all been reunited.
As you can imagine, a formal complaint is being drafted asap.
