Letztens bin ich per Zufall auf das Verfahren der (Blaupause) gestossen.

Seit dem schwirren in meinem Kopf lauter Ideen rum für mögliche Prints, T-Shirts usw.. Bei der genaueren Recherche zum Verfahren bin ich auch darauf gestossen, dass unter gewissen Bedinungen Blausäure anstatt dem enstehen kann, was ja bekanntlich nicht so gesund/lebensfreundlich ist.

Nun habe ich etwas Respekt davor dies auszuprobieren.
Kennt sich wer damit aus und hat ein paar Tipps?

Ein Freund ist Fan von und fragt sich, welche Folie und welches Druckverfahren sich eignet, um größere Prints zu erstellen - also in Richtung A4 oder A3. Mit Tintenstrahlern hat er bisher keine guten Erfahrungen gemacht. Habt Ihr Tipps dazu?

Zum heute mal wieder was Ephemeres. Dies ist eine noch nicht entwickelte , die ich nicht im Kontakt, sondern in der Projektion belichtet habe: Das 13x18-Negativ habe ich filmseitig, aber ohne Mattscheibe in die Fachkamera gelegt und mit einem 30W-UV-Fluter durch ein lichtstarkes Episkop-Objektiv auf ca. 30x30 cm Karton belichtet. Die zwar mehrstündige Belichtungszeit war leider nicht lang genug, nach dem Wässern war nicht mehr viel übrig …

@pinuslusatius Aber gern :) Ich muss dazu gar nichts Neues schreiben – in meinem Werkstattblog hat die eine eigene Kategorie:

Als Anleitung am interessanten ist dort der Artikel "Blaupausen (2)" – das beschreibt die klassische Rezeptur, chemikalien-arm, dafür relativ wenig lichtempfindlich.

Das alles ist ein bisschen mehr Aufwand als fertig sensibilisierte Papiere, aber dafür im Preis nur ein Bruchteil, und man ist flexibler bei der Papierauswahl.

Wenn nun schon ein auf den 1. Januar fällt, scheint mir ein noch nicht fertig ausgearbeitetes Bild sehr passend:

Es ist eine vom 9x12-Negativ, die zwar bereits belichtet wurde, aber wie bei einem frischen Jahr ist noch nicht ganz klar, in welche Richtung sie sich entwickeln wird :-)

The closer we get to Christmas the warmer it get’s outside. Thinking of spring time and of these little flowers I found in my garden. I don’t know their name but their multiple tiny blossoms have a nice color, something between blue and purple.

This cyanotype is one year old. I collected the dried flowers during a cold trail run on the sunny sides of the Rhône Valley. Even if it’s not perfekt I like the tiny details of the dry seeds.

This is some weed from my garden I picked up last summer. I pressed it and used it for this cyan print. I am always fascinated about the details we miss to see in our daily life because we do not pay attention to these litte „unimportant“ things like garden weeds.

My last cyano prints didn't work so well and the only day with sunshine will be on Sunday. I'll try to make some time for some sun printing as I just use natural sun light and do not use artificial UV lights for my art work. ☀️

Et voilà mon premier cyanotype réalisé avec un négatif d'un de mes visuels.

Il y a des ratés, il y a des endroits sous exposés et même pas du tout imprimés...

Mais on retrouve quand même le dessin et un peu de sa douceur.
Pas trop mécontent pour une première tentative.

I’ve definitely done more during spring and summer. After last winter I couldn’t wait to pick up and press some spring flowers like these tiny ones. I think it was Anemone nemorosa but I am not 100% sure anymore. Anyway, as a they do look quite lovely.

Back to sharing another print. A bit blurred at the left edge. But to the rest of the detailed sheet also a welcome contrast. The overlapping parts of the sheet are what make it so interesting. Borderless prints are always a challenge to handle.

Instead of looking forward to Christmas and the approaching winter, my thoughts are still stuck on spring and the crocuses in the garden.
