I'm pretty shure it's just #SurveillanceCapitalism at work and that #Facebook & Co. are being the crybabies that don't want a foreign competitor.
Not to mention that #TikTok disrupts the #CyberHegemony in terms of #MassSurveillance and the ability to put the #Stasi to shame when it comes to having #blackmail material at hand.
Remember: #PRISM was never canceled or cut down - it still runs at full capacity and got expanded!
