#CloudPunk is a #Windows #game, but I played it under #Proton 8.10 using #Lutris with no major issues. I had to disable key repeat in #GNOME to avoid having the keyboard commands continue to register after I released the key.

The game takes place in a huge, vertical city caled Nivalis. You play Rania, a female delivery driver on her first night working for the semi-legal delivery company CloudPunk. The game is almost entirely driving, with some walking around and lots of talking to people. You drive a HOVA, a flying car. It's able to go up and down within a given range, and there are tubes to access the higher and lower sections of the city. It took a little while to get used to driving, but once I figured it out (just hold down w while pushing s and d to steer) it was a lot of fun.

They did a very good job of making the city feel huge. There are plenty of places to explore, though sometimes it can be hard to find the right place to park to get somewhere on foot. And sometimes things are on different levels and there isn't a lift nearby, so you end up hunting around a bit. But the minimap is pretty good once you figure it out.

The game feels a bit unpolished in places, and the plot is fairly derivative and mostly linear with a few choices where it's unclear how they affect the game, which is probably why the game only has 3.2 stars on Gog. But the dialog is well scripted and well recorded with lots of voice actors, and the characters are great. I enjoyed just exploring the city, which you have plenty of excuses to do.

I just started playing the DLC, City of Ghosts. It works fine under Proton as well.

Testing out more Solace State, a game that I'm making with my team!

#SteamDeck has a resolution of 16:10, but our game with diegetic text in placed into the 3D world has complete level design for over 150,000+ words fitted for 16:9. So I'm seeing what sort of changes might need addressing!
