The second day on Jersey island it rained. The view therefore was mostly foggy and overcast what partly created a mystical atmosphere. Especialy when we reached the south coast. The tide was down and the beach with the visible seaground looked like a moon landscape. The rain had stopped, the sun pushed through the clouds and the steam rose up from the seaground. wow, what natural magic.

Today's cycling journey from the Ribblehead Viaduct in the Yorkshire Dales National Park was pure bliss. We rode 30 miles around Ingleborough Mountain on a route with challenging climbs, breathtaking views, and rolling hills that disappeared into the horizon. after two days pedaling along the coast with (again) strong headwind and annoying traffic, we turned inland (direction #marrakesh).
the landscape changed, we drove through tiny villages and agricultural areas.
the road surface changed too: gravel, soil, mud, sand, destroyed tarmac...
our mood went a bit downhill. buying #chocolate (and #cookies for markus htttps://markusschorn.de ) at the local kiosk and eating it in record time helped
