I'am really excited - the resident pair has a #cygnet !
First time ever since I monitor this patch.
There are residential #whooper swans (2 pairs, unfortunately 1 adult died 21/22 due to avian flu, 3 remaining).
Look how bright the cygnets plumage is already, hatched much earlier than in hight north-east.
Sorry for bad picture, taken before sunrise at a dull morning at the moor lake.

Yes, it is true. There is a cooker, maybe more than one, at large in Cygnet.
We encountered this poster and another of its ilk pasted on posts when we were in town during the Cygnet Folk Festival. Were they posted for the benefit of local or out-of-town festival goers? Who knows?
It seems that the great conspiratorial reset has reached even into this otherwise pleasant, small southern Tasmanian town. We await in anticipation of revelation of the promise on the poster of what lies behind the pandemic that is still disrupting the world. Other than a bug, that is.

Another bird wallpaper--this time with a mother swan and her cygnet hatchlings. I love this image because I tried to make the water look almost like a sky with stars and such.
For a long time, I felt this was the best bird image I'd done, but there were a couple more in my future that I was going to feel good about, too!
