Still a work in progress, my latest project is a widefield view of the Crescent Nebula and surrounding dust. This area of the sky has so much interesting dust, you can basically point your camera anywhere in Cygnus and get a cool result.

This is about 4.5 hours of data so far, and I'd like to get to at least 10, probably. That would require clouds to cooperate, though.

Big project alert! This image is an area in Cygnus containing both the North America nebula (big blue area) and the Pelican nebula (bump in the top middle). This area is rich in OIII, which gives it a nice blue color with certain processing. This is over 25h of total exposure time across the two panels of the mosaic.

This wider field of view shows the Crescent (lower right corner) amidst the hydrogen gas clouds of the #Sadr region in the center of the #Cygnus constellation. The Crescent is a shell caused by colliding gasses after a star explosion. #StillLearning

Got to watch the last #Antares 230 series launch from #Wallops on Tuesday. Heading up for #ISS resupply and to deliver some #science #experiments via the #Cygnus cargo vessel.
