Seminal British funk band #Cymande gives us deep grooves with a touch of island flavor.
You’ve heard them even if you don’t know it; the sample era mined many nuggets from Cymande’s catalog. I was introduced to their music via British reggae (and sometimes pop) outfit #Aswad’s absolutely addictive electro update of “The Message.” (1/2)

Going back to the 1970s with this one. #Cymande were a British group playing a mix of Funk, Reggae, Soul and traditional African sounds. In short, they are DOPE!

Sampled by many, notably De La Soul, Tod Terry and The Fugees amongst many. This cut is from their third album #PromisedHeights - #BrothersOnTheSlide.

I found a live version I've never heard before so enjoy!
