Still astounded that I got through watching 22 events from the #Cymera literary festival. For the last fortnight I have been sleeping typically over 12 hours a day, and struggling hugely to stay awake at other times. All due to my latest #neuro illness flare. But I kept nibbling at the videos, usually late at night, and got to see and enjoy masses. It took place in early June and I bought a digital weekend pass. This let me watch events streamed live, and after on catchup. Now watching loads before 3 July. Already enjoyed Adrian Tchaikovsky and others talk about cityscapes in fantasy fiction, and Aliette de Bodard and Ann Leckie talk about space operas. My last @cymerafestival event of the weekend was LR Lam and Amie Kaufman talking to OM Freestone, which was a total hoot to listen to.
My own event went well, authors and audience seemed happy, so job done! Caught up with chums I've not seen in ages, met some Id only known online, saw bunch of author events, drinks in cobbled courtyard... Terrific weekend.
