@Tim_Eagon @Arkanjil @ubergrog I’m really into Kevin Crawford’s #WithoutNumber system (#SWN, #WWN, #CWN). The only reason a group I know still plays 5e is the convenience of the e-book sharing through DND Beyond. For pure fantasy I’d rather try #TDE or #CypherSystem with #Planebreaker. Hoping someone familiar with the #CypherSystem can help me out with an issue we had last night.

Our party's Warrior, Miss Estella Havisham from Great Expectations, wanted to disarm and/or nonlethally knock out a guard. AFAICT, her choices were:

- Reduce him to 0 hp.
- Choose a combat effect ahead of time (CR 212).

Disarming is a major effect, so in order to achieve this effect, she'd have to deal him at least 9 damage, on top of being hindered by two steps. 1/

He locates the commander of the gendarmerie and deploys his strongest persuasive skills, but to no avail—the commander is incorruptible, and Pretorius must be questioned! #CypherSystem
