On the anniversary of the death of the last Emperor, Karl, 1 April 1922:

Unlike World War I in the west, the war in the east was mobile and the front shifted significantly back and forth, several times. (today: Chernivtsi, ) changed hands several times.

In this short official film clip, residents enthusiastically greet him after Austro-Hungarian troops liberate the city from its Russian occupation in 1917.
