There is a scale between to absolutes that are seldomly if ever realised: left in the scale the genius that only produces masterworks that are better by whatever standard imaginable on the one hand, and right the total failure to produce anything meaningful, original or even artisanal. In between those, all composers reside. For Example, I consider#Henselt and #Hensel to be on the left side of #Czerny, but his 11 piano sonata cycle is a meaningful work

BEETHOVEN 200 YEARS AGO TODAY: Monday, December 23, 1822

Today, a version of Opferlied, op.121b for solo tenor, chorus and orchestra, on a poem by Matthisson, is premiered by the tenor Wilhelm Ehlers at a "Great Musical-Declamatory Akademie" concert for his own benefit in Pressburg. Beethoven had known Ehlers since 1814. To our knowledge, this original version of the work for solo tenor with chorus and orchestra has never been recorded.

I need to find some way to strengthen both fifth fingers without having to resort to #Hanon and #Czerny.

I realise that naturally it takes years. But there have to be ways to train them without torturing the #piano!

Some advise #PowerBall to train hands. Does it work, has anyone tried?
