#diy #bidouillage The NIKON #D300S mic input is notoriously noisy, greedily picking up 60 Hz hum for any cable length.
The 3 pin stereo jack is unbalanced (single-ended). To keep mic level cable the shortest possible, I soldered a passive 1000:1 attenuator directly on the jack So it's now "line level", much less prone to EMI noise.
