As usual went to bed early looking forward to a lie in. (The wife doesn’t like Hogmanay, so in the past I used to bugger off to a bothy somewhere with a few pals, shiver around a dwindling fire, listening to, and telling, tales taller with each round of the flask, my kind of a party, but it’s been a while.)

Well … the New Year started with a bloody alarm clock going off at 00:00 — the wife determined to register for the #D33Ultra! Runners, eh?
