@qwxlea @dhrystone i got my second moonlander on ebay but it only saved about $70. if you setup a watchlist for an ergodox you may see one you can snag, i wanted one of those for a long time before the moonlander came out. i absolutely love them but they're expensive! at the end of the day i guess i rationalized that this is like any other creative tool. camera body, set of wrenches, they're self-serviceable and well made but most mechs are. there's a printable #Dactyl but i haven't used one.

Today I applied new anti slide rubber feet to it. Sticks to the desk nicely and even seems to absorb some of the typing sounds. A cheap but worthy improvement.

• Print a #Dactyl #manuform
• Learn how to soldier and whatnot
• Assemble a keyboard

Of course, I'm never going to do any of that. I'll save up some money to have someone do all that, so I get to do the fun parts of playing with it.

I just never really tried a keyboard with wells, and I'm incredibly curious, even though I'm totally happy with my Model 100. But that damned curiosity...

When I now look back, I have no idea how I could ever live without my #dactyl and #neovim So many improvements to the #dev workflow.

@PacoVelobs @redstarfish @thrill_seeker i'm using #dactyl keyboard and it's great for both #vim and #emacs. i have mirrored cmd, super, meta, esc keys on both sides so it is super comfy for me to press combinations. also meta + shift is binded to a specific key so this helps as well. haven't yet thought of binding meta+alt to one key yet.
