I totally aced the #Dadding this birthday weekend!

Entertained 15 kids, whilst hung over. Got along with my ex. Finished unpacking. Cleaned. Shopped. Wrapped gifts. Made two cakes and a mountain of spaghetti bolognese: fed 13 people! Got along with my ex some more. Wore the world's most ridiculous tie. Got kid happily to bed on time, homework done. Cleaned some more.

I'm particularly proud of inventing the pancakecake, a cake my picky eater kid eagerly ate. I love making her smile. ❤️

My project for the week is to get an old RPi set up as an MPD server downstairs so we can...play music downstairs more easily without having to cast YouTube from our phones to the TV.

It’s been slow going because I’m lazy and every problem requires yet another Amazon order for yet another cable. Now I’m seeding the Pi with rsync in a retry loop from my Mac’s iTunes library (can’t open the ext4 SD card in write mode on Mac, don’t have Ethernet adapter for Mac, flaky WiFi).
