My 13 year old daughter came home wearing a Nirvana t-shirt. I said you can't wear that shirt unless you tell me your favorite song by them.

It led to a 2 month exploration of 90s rock (I guess that's dad rock now...).

Today at volleyball camp, she went up to another girl wearing a Nirvana shirt and said "My favorite Nirvana song is Lithium, what's yours?" to which the other girl had no reply. Proud dad moment.

our #DadRock band played on saturday night... taking me 2 days to recover (despite finishing before 10pm 😆 ). How do those old rockers do it (I know the answer - they have people...and substances) .

Best of all - we played in the revamped Strathmore Community hall - Te Tūhunga Rau. It was soooo nice.

What do I mean by #himborock? A himbo is an attractive man, muscular, with a good heart and not a lot of brains. Think Kronk from Emperors New Groove or Joey from Friends. A nice, hot, kinda dumb guy.

This isn’t #dadrock, this is boyfriend rock. This is music that makes you wonder if you can date a song, and if that song has a brother who is single.

#30DaySongChallenge day 29: A song that reminds me of your childhood.

Like many '80s dads, mine used used to rinse this album in the car when I was a kid. It was a tough day when the car radio proper chewed the tape up, but it was eventually fixed with a pencil and a hardcore amount of patience.

Still think this is a tune, tbh.
