Am I the only person who has an issue with the song Oh What A Beautiful Morning from Oklahoma?

The song clearly states "The corn is as high as an elephant's eye."

But...and here's my problem...we never see the elephant.

This means we have no empirical evidence of the height of the eye and as a result the height of the corn.

The lyric should say "approximately as high as an average elephant's eye"
