Daft Punk got their start as indie rockers on Stereolab’s #Duphonic label while the Dust Brothers were learning to move crowds as a DJ duo at The Heavenly Social which is something you hear ring true in every Chemical Brothers set/album/etc. Such a pure representation of the UK dance floor sound from Balearic, to house, UK techno and of course breaks.

Ale vedeli ste, že to bol len výstrižok z celovečerného filmu, ktorý obsahoval celý album #Discovery a mal normálný príbeh, ktorý bol odprezentovaný bez jediného slova? Film sa volal #Interstella5555 a pokiaľ máte Daft Punk a hlavne album Discovery radi, odporúčam vám ho všetkými desiatimi!

It would be amazing to apply the same treatment to a Star Wars movie. Bar scenes in places like Mos Eisley Cantina could be elevated to a whole new level. Disney owns Tron and Star Wars, so maybe someone will make this happen at some point. I'd definitely got a Star Wars themed party with this kind of music. #DaftPunk #StarWars

#DaftPunk mixed their first two albums on a JVC #boombox like this. All the standard advice to ‘don’t mix on this or that’ and they used a 10 year old boombox with a simple graphic equalizer.
The lesson: Expensive equipment isn’t necessary; mix on something you use and know well.
And don’t wait until you have the ‘right’ equipment. As #ArthurAshe said,
“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”

I am deeply discouraged and will be setting this project aside for a while.
