Alaska Daily is a great show. My mom had no idea about the MMIW crisis before seeing it, and now she's actively educating herself about it.

Tom McCarthy, director of the film Spotlight, partnered with the Anchorage Daily News and ABC to depict how small newsrooms operate, with a focus on the MMIW crisis. Love it.

(But why is the show called Alaska Daily when its fictional paper's called the Daily Alaskan...?)
