When I distrohop I'm often confused what should I do after the installation is complete and what order should I follow so I wrote a list of post installation steps. (I plan to distrohop to Debian so I'll need this list soon)

And we're done! Behold my new #DailyDriver.

Mods:

- Lid portion of hinge reinforced with JB Weld
- Swapped out "questionnaire" touchbar for the regular 3c/mx one
- Swapped out EL panel for newer one with better colour

The keyboard membrane feels a bit mushier than on my previous 3mx. I'll give this one a go for a few days, but I might swap it out.

The screen contrast is low by default, but increasing it 4 steps makes it usable.

Otherwise, I'm happy with it. 😊

Zwei Apps, die ich unter #Android , meinem #DailyDriver , tatsächlich sehr vermisse.

Last night, I made the switch from the default #anaconda to #calamares installer for the OS. There were some packages that secretly kept it from running

I also got some default #appimages, namely #firefox, #libreoffice, and a fully-set-up-with-theming-and-plugins #neovim, to install. I want this to eventually replace my #dailydriver, and those are tools I use.

I'm running into boot problems with Calamares (of course, I was running into boot problems with Anaconda too), so that's the next thing

Manchmal mag ich Technik wirklich nicht. Mein #Pixel5 ging nicht mehr. Werkseinstellungen mehrfach probiert. Ging immer noch nicht. Also #Tabularasa gemacht und auf #lineageos gewechselt. Soweit so gut. Dann entkoppelte sich andauernd die #GalaxyWatch4 und #GoogleWallet ging auch nicht mehr.
Also jetzt #Magisk drauf, #MagiskHide für alle Google Apps und die Samsung Galaxy Wearable und Wearable Manager 4 App und nun läuft alles wieder.
Da wünsche ich mir echt ein #iPhone herbei als #DailyDriver

@jimmac @cassidy With my PinePhone being a bit too slow for a #dailydriver I really long for a device such as the Fairphone 4 (or a "real" PinePhone Pro) to be fully supported by Linux. Ond wow, GNOME Shell on #mobile looks so freaking amazing. Perfect. 🤓

My #DailyDriver : a used Panasonic Toughbook in its golden years. Ideal for tending to old computers: built-in serial port, two(?) ethernet ports for NATing old systems onto the WiFi.
