This is my first time constructing units for #40k. I'd played a bit in my teens and bought a pre-painted Tyranids army at a garage sale... which I subsequently sold at a garage sale in my 20s. I'm also relatively new to miniature painting. I'd started painting at the beginning of 2020 for TTRPGs I run. Then the pandemic hit and I moved to running games almost exclusively online via FoundryVTT. So, my impetus to paint minis waned.
