Was at work yesterday when all my devices' notifications went off saying Terry Hall had passed & became a “member of a very special Night Club”.

My uncle gave me a Specials cassette for Xmas when I was like 11 (let's say in the late-ish 1980s).
It was the first recording of underground-y music that I owned.
Jeez did that send me down an eventful & misadventurous punk/oi!/skinhead-y path of life.

I used to DJ a "ska" radio show in the mid-1990s on KKFI 90.1 KCMO and went on to all sorts of chcanery that even led me to get into the osint-y tech shit I'm into now.

Didn’t really hit me how much his voice & the #Specials meant to me until this afternoon.

And Dance Craze still gets me filled with youthful fun, excitement and the feelings of connections with others in too many ways to list.
