I gave up implementing djang-celery-beat in a Django app because I felt it was too complicated to get working. The docs are incomplete and info that people put on-line is inconsistent

I still appreciate open source contributors and people who post info online - no anger here but I just haven't gotten this one to work

I think it would be better to use cron

Am I missing something that would make it less complicated ?
