I fell in love with this song #Spotify randomly put in my recommendations two months ago. I am just ALWAYS a sucker for simple lines that hold vast beauty. Like those fucking awesome lines a #poet usually tries to write at least once in their lives, and the song had that.

Today I learned, that it is a cover while the original is by one of my favourite artists - Daniel Johnston.

And I will openly admit that I still cry at a good song...

Dans mes acquisitions musicales récentes, un disque que je n'aurais jamais acheté en temps ordinaire, si je puis dire ça comme ça, car j'ai quasi horreur des disques "hommage", et je pense n'en avoir aucun en dehors de cet achat récent.
Un tribute donc à #DanielJohnston. Je l'ai découvert avec son album Fun que j'avais adoré, puis mon intérêt pour lui a oscillé énormément, par vague, avant qu'il devienne un musicien majeur pour moi. Ce qu'il est.

I was a casual acquaintance of #DanielJohnston in the 80s when we frequented the same venues around #Austin, and before he was internationally renowned. I gave him a ride home from The Continental Club a few times, and he struck me as very kind, but also a bit sad. He asked me to arrange a horn section for him, and of course I said yes, knowing nothing would come of it. I still wonder what that might have sounded like. Daniel was truly cut from his own bolt of cloth.
