My friend and bandmate #DannyGotham was a member of the #RacquetteRiverRounders, a legendary folk and bluegrass act from near Rochester, NY. They return to Saratoga Springs each Boxing Day to perform. During the worst of the pandemic he and John Kribs had me engineer an online show. After some tricky editing to sync their videos, it turned out pretty well!

A few years ago #DannyGotham and I recorded this #ChetAtkins #BucketList tune for his album de Colores. I had always wanted to lay down something in the style of #LesPaul and this was my chance. Danny of course is one of the finest #FingerPicking players in the country. I only have a still shot of Danny during the session but I had the camera rolling when I cut my parts. I’m playing both parts during the breaks.

Had my bandmate #DannyGotham in the studio this past weekend. He laid down 4 #guitar tracks of one of his #BucketList tunes, Jaya Shiva Shankara by #JohnFahey. The main track is using an #OpenC tuning, the remaining 3 in standard.

Danny was the runner up in the 1980 National #Fingerpicking Championship.
