"TV presenter Dan Walker has said wearing a helmet saved his life in a bicycle crash in Sheffield."

A "bicycle crash" was it, no one else involved?

"Mr Walker, 45, said he was hit by a car while cycling on Monday, leaving him "battered and bruised"."

He was hit by a "car" was he? Was it autonomous? Or was he actually hit by a #driver *in* a car?

#DanWalker: "The helmet I was wearing saved my life today so – if you’re on a bike – get one on your head."

#SouthYorkshirePolice: "minor injury collision", therefore no comment.

So what gives?

My comment? If wearing a helmet makes you feel better, that's great. But it almost certainly won't save your life if you are hit by a motor vehicle.
