Today's dinner beer: Elfsborgs lösen, named after the payment Sweden had to pay the Danes twice, in 1571 and 1613, to get the fortress outside today's city of Gothenburg back. Classic porter made by Majornas Bryggeri.

Finishing off with a quadruple and then an imp stout, both from Electric Nurse (brewery started by an electrician and a nurse). First one called "Gothia klubbmästerskapsvinnare" (!) and a bit too sweet for my palate.
The second is simply called "Imperial stout" and feels just like what it is: a matured version of a classic, bitter porter. Very nice to finish off with.
Both from 2018, so five years old!

@stoutwardporterman Reasonable! Just had a Utilitarian Chocolate by Swedish Akia here. Imperial, but not too boozy when had as is. A bit of cocoa, but no milkiness, no pastries around. Pleasant!

This evening's #darkbeer is Forte from O/O Brewing. A bit on the boozy side, but nice as a winter warmer. No fuzz except a hint of sweetness. New label not at all to my taste, but let's not judge the beer by its cover.

@quare_swally @beersofmastodon Best brewery of 2022 is still Stigbergets (www.ratebeer.com/brewers/stigbergets-bryggeri/16153), but favourite beer Kustens Porter by Majornas (www.ratebeer.com/brewers/majornas-bryggeri/28445). Gothenburg rocks in #darkbeers and others!

Visited brewery-owned pub Stigbergets Fot (Stockholm, Sweden) yesterday. Tried their #darkbeers American Porter and Day Zero. First one a rather classic #porter (not as American as some others) and the second a sweet, but not overly so, #stout. Recommended!
