Brrr! We’re freezing just watching this 🥶 A record number of hardy soulds have stripped off for a chilly solstice swim this morning, in Hobart’s Derwent River. The annual swim celebrates the end of Tasmania’s #DarkMofo festival, as well as shortest day of the year in Australia, where the Earth’s South Pole is tilted the furthest away from the sun. Haven't had much time to do anything but chess this weekend. Hobart has its cultural festival on now and through the solstice. The only thing I've seen is the big light, but apparently, it can be seen from 100km away, so no big deal 😂

Mid June is always a special time in Hobart with the Annual Dark Mofo Festival.
The Spectra installation by Ryoji Ikeda has been a regular landmark of the Festival and can been seen well over 100kms away on a clear night.
it always brings me a sense of joy to see it. A beacon of happiness for me.
