#Darksiders2 have sidequest (The Lost Soul) that plays like this:

1) talk to guy1, fast travel, run for 20s, press A
2) fast travel, run for 20s, talk to guy2, fast travel, run for 20s, press A
3) fast travel, run for 20s, talk to guy1, fast travel, run for 20s, press A
4) fast travel, run for 20s, talk to lady, fast travel, run for 20s, press A
5) repeat step 3

I wish I was kidding. Reward for this quest is a lore bit everybody knew from the first game.

For past two weeks I am playing #Darksiders2 and by far it is the worst experience in the trilogy.

Serious audio bugs, economy and gear system completely broken by possessed weapons and story that ties to rest of the games only in its last third. Large open world with nothing to do in it.

I kinda enjoy the third person shooter bit the most, which is not a good sign in a hack'n'slash game.

Finally finished #Darksiders2. Good one, worked great on the #SteamDeck. Up next: Ori and the Will of the Whisps and/ or Tomb Raider. #PileofGame

Well, that ended… abruptly.
After the time-honored "the end of the game is coming!" warning, there's a boss fight, a 30-second cutscene, and then roll credits.

Most of the plot points remain unresolved - at one point, it's even suggested that there will be a choice to make at the end, but the cutscene chose for me. I wondered if I just needed to do more/different side quests etc., but internet seems to say no.

I feel like the overall plot is even less coherent than in Darksiders: it's a long chain of collecting macguffins, with the vague notion that this will help War somehow eventually.

Overall, my feeling is the same as with Darksiders: I love the dungeons, and the enemies could/should be removed entirely.
