I’ve met 2 people now at two different places tonight that we’re going on a first date and were “pre-gaming” becaus they were nervous. I gave them a pep talk but also 1 advice with question.

First dates aware important if you see yourself interested in this person and wanting/hoping for another.

Questions are great. One that works for me is:

“What have you recently changed your mind about?” — this can go so many directions but it helps you learn how they think and defend things. And it also shows that they are open minded.

I feel this in my bones, but still, my wife and I have found opportunities to have a #DateNight despite #COVID. We've gone on picnics; gone on walks; gotten takeout and eaten at outdoor tables or benches; gotten takeout and eaten in the car while listening to music and enjoying a view; and gone to drive-in movie theaters. It's harder in the winter, but we've dialed up our tolerance for bundling up and eating out in the (not too) cold. #NewNormal
