Op 6 oktober 2020 overlijdt Eddie en stopt de band Van Halen, ook al is de bezetting er sinds 1996 met #DavidLeeRoth.
Alex heeft nooit opnames gemaakt zonder zijn broer en ziet daarom een verderzetting van de band niet meer zitten.
Hij wordt gezien als één van de beste drummers binnen de hardrock en die de sound van #VanHalen domineerde en bepaalde samen met Eddie.
De enige opname buiten Van Halen was voor de soundtrack van Twister en levert de broers een grammy op voor #BestInstrumental.

frontman #DavidLeeRoth maar ook door het gitaarspel van Eddie.
Reeds van bij het begin speelde de band als support act veel grotere rockbands van het podium en wou uiteindelijk niemand de band nog als voorprogramma.
Hun debuutalbum was meteen goed voor een platina status in de USA, en de drums van Alex werden vooral geroemd voor zijn explosiviteit tijdens het spelen.
Het ego van Roth werd te groot en hij werd uit de band gezet en opgevolgd door #SammyHagar, dat resulteert in nog meer succes

I cannot recommend David Lee Roth's podcast more highly. It is probably not what you expect. It is a combination of rock and roll nostalgia with philosophy, history and surprisingly deep thoughts.
