Random thought: Have they designed a flag for Krakoa yet? You can’t be a sovereign nation without one. But thinking back I can’t remember seeing a Krakoan flag yet. Did they introduce one but I just missed it?

Wish I had more to say about X-Force vol. 6 #7, or X-Force in general. I didn’t really get into vol. 6 until post X of Swords. All I really took away from this ish is how weird Sage looks…

Maybe the revelations unveiled here aren’t that earth shattering, but there’s no doubt this is maybe the most important ish in Dawn of X. From this point on it’s a pretty clear road to Mystique resurrecting Destiny by any means necessary, changing the course of Krakoa forever.

But let’s be honest, the thing I love most about this ish is going back and comparing it to House of X. The art is different, but many of the scenes are identical, just adding a little information here and there to fully flesh out what Mystique was doing on the Orchis base. And some scenes from House of X can be read in a different light now that we know more…

X-Men vol. 5 #6 is a big one. A lot of these early ishes were setting up storylines that wouldn’t have a payoff for YEARS!!! This ish in particular set the stage for Destiny of X. The premise is simple: Xavier is leading Mystique along, promising to resurect Destiny, and Mystique is reaching her breaking point.

When I first read vol. 5 #5 I just kinda shrugged my shoulders and went about my business. I liked , but it felt like little to nothing happened… Little did I know this would turn out to be one of the most influential X-Men comics in the post-Krakoan age. Still today we are seeing fallout from the decision to enter the Vault, and I feel like we aren’t finished with it yet. Reading this again gave me chills!

vol. 4 has an interesting beginning, because it’s split between two story arcs. I’m not sure why that is. I get the feeling that the four written by were meant to be #1~4, but then got delayed because he was so busy, so they ended up as #1,2,5, and 7. So #6 is actually the third ish in the storyline helmed by . Confused yet? Good! This arc is amazing. and steal the show. And I love the ethical dilemma at the end!

The final ish in Fallen Angels vol. 2. It’s a fairly anti-climatic ending to a pretty low-key series. I mentioned before I wasn’t the biggest fan. Did I like getting to know Kwannon better? Yeah, and there were some good character building moments, but on the whole it was pretty meh.
